  1. Sure.  I made up a word once, or at least I thought I did.  I don't even remember what it was, and before you know it, a heard a celebrity saying it on T.V.  I was telling everyone how I made it up.  They didn't believe me.

  2. It's your imagination. I have not seen "iconic" used anyplace, and I read a lot of stuff.

I will not comment on whether you were previously NUTS!!! before that happened, if it did. You may wish to check with your friends and relatives.

  3. Well not totaly. the next one is "The Saviors of America", refering to the Obama/Biden campaign.

  4. Yep, noticed it. Who thought up the word "Troll" for Y!A?

  5. It is your imagination.  You heard that word somewhere and now you are noticing it everywhere because of that one time.  That happens to me all of the time

  6. Paris Hilton says she's iconic, too.

  7. It was "surreal" that drove me nuts.

    Everything was freakin surreal!

"thinking out of the box" is another one

  8. TOTALLY... And I truly hate it...

    The worst?

"It's a Perfect Storm of *Insert any retarded thing here*"

"It's a perfect storm of E coli contamination!"

"It's a perfect storm of Fiscal Irresponsibility"

EVERYTHING for a while was "A Perfect Storm" and I cringe when I hear that phrase to this day...

It TRULY lowers my opinion of someone when they start puppeting the "popular phrase of the day".

    Get some creativity people...

Also, the media believes that if you expose people to some key phrase, they can manipulate your opinion on a topic... And it is a sad thing that usually, it works...

    No brain washing for me!

    I will NOT be trained!

  9. Nope. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Did you notice how "presumptive nominee" entered the language everywhere this year?

Then again, it happens in all walks of life. You just notice it more in the media. When did "gone missing" become a phrase, for example?

  10. I agree with you.

  11. You are right. The media takes any little thing and way over does it. Sickning

  12. it is not your imagination.  people today lack imagination. I blame Bill Clinton
