  1. They are a water lover and like the shade.

  2. Could be too much or too little water.  Feel the soil.

Imps root easily in water (clear container) and will grow happily in water for months.  Will over winter inside.  Prone to spider mites.

  3. If it is winter where you are it is the frost getting them.

  4. there are a lot of diseases that impatiens get

in my experience if you have a healthy plant you con almost not kill it but if it has an underlying disease problem the heat of the summer will make the problems worse.

water issues, pythium, necrotic spot, spider mites, fertilizer burn, worn out potting soil are all problems i have dealt with on impatiens.

    good luck

  5. I have to water mine twice a day to keep them from doing that.

  6. They may need more water and shade this time of year if you are in a fairly hot area but remember they are annuals and annuals die at the end of the season.

  7. If your Impatiens are well taken care of they will grow and flower until the first frost.

It sounds to me like they are not getting enough water.

At this time of year in the Northeast, I need to water them twice a day, even though they only get early morning sun – otherwise they wilt and start to show the signs you describe. So keep them well watered and they should recover.
