My infared light receiver has three pins how to connect them in a circuit?

hi i want to connect my infared light receiver to an led and resistor the led will act as an indicator but i dont know how to connect it to the receiver and also can someone show me a finished breadboarded circuit for this schematic http://www.madlab.org/electrnx/lesson7.html

anyone who can answer my question will get 30 points because im a member

  1. I don't really understand your question, I'm afraid. You say you have an infrared receiver, do you want an LED to light up when the infrared receiver detects a signal? You can't just hook them up directly, you'll need to use a transistor. The general idea is to feed the output of the receiver into the base of a transistor and use it to drive an LED + resistor connected to the collector. I can't really give you any more details without knowing exactly which infrared receiver component you're using.
