i spent a year as an exchange student in california, in the year of 04-05. i got a health insurance just in case i needed it.

i had a seizure by january of 2005 and i went to the hospital to see what was going on nd the doctors said i had epilepsy so they decided to took a brain scan, MRI and so i said it was fine cuz i thought the insurace company would cover it.

after that i went to a neurologist and well.. to make it short, i charge like $10 000 aprox. to my insurance company. So far everything was fine, untill i got a mail from the insurance co. and they wrote me that they wouldn't pay and they kept sending mails and mails. i replayed them but they wouldn't understand, so i came back to Mexico and i think they keep sending bills to the same address, but im not sure, i stop hearing from them. but now my visa has expired and i want to renew it but im worried about that, can i get arrested? even if im not american? i dont wanna pay, cause i don have the $$ and its not fair.

  1. so let me get this straight you dont have the money and you dont wont to pay

you want me to pay your bill for you

stay out of america with a  att like that

you spend you pay  not us   you

    how dare you

    good luck

  2. I sure hope your visa is denied.  You've made it pretty clear you are not going to pay your medical bills.  Don't you realize WE are going to have to cover them?  Thanks for coming into our country, running up bills and leaving.  Oh, and whining about it.  That was a nice touch too.

  3. Yes, your visa can be denied.

How is it not fair, that you went and bought services, and they want to get paid for the services they gave you?

Your transaction with the insurance company is seperate from the one with the hospital and doctors.  Who do you think is going to foot the bill, if you don't pay?  You want the doctors to work for you for free?

What you're doing is called STEALING.  Stealing services, from the hospital and doctor.

Your insurance should be telling you WHY they won't pay.  And either it's a legitimate reason, like you don't have coverage for epilepsy, only accidents, or it's not.  But that's a seperate transaction.

    You owe the money.

  4. Dude, your fine. It's not your fault that your insurance company won't pay. They probably realized that you weren't a citizen, that you'd probably be going back to your country soon, and that you would have alot of trouble fighting them, so they deflected payment to you. It's just their way of getting out of payment.

Anyway, DON'T pay it. If you want, write a letter to the hospital explaining everything and they might be able to deal with it and get their money, but I doubt it.

As for your visa, if your denied then explain your situation to them and you might get the decision overturned. If not, happy trails my friend.

DON'T LET THE INSURANCE COMPANY WIN.
