My interior walls are tan and mocha. I accented with red. What color should I paint my adjacent kitchen?

Some suggest warm colors only with warm colors, but some allow for opposites on the color wheel to compliment. Opposite of red is green, but one is warm and one is cool. I'm confused! Suggestions?

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think it would look terrific to contrast the red with a green like "leapfrog" (# 6431).

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. How about do the same color scheme in your kitchen, just the other way around? Red is a great color for the kitchen (It increase appetite) and use accents of mocha and tan on the trim etc

It'd add great flow to your house.

    Just a suggestion :)
