My internet download speed?

Ok, for the past 5-6 months my internet download speed was in the 500's kb/sec so say i have to download a game, it would only take around 5-10 min, for some reason starting yesterday my download speed is in the 28-40kb/sec and to download a file say 25mb is taking me 10-15 min whats happening?! AND i don't think it's got anything to do with my service provider, because i've got a really good speed from them, since i had to upgrade by calling them.

It also depends what website you download from.

I have an internet connection of 10MB and a download speed of 1.9mb p/s

This speed is hardly ever reached, It goes from 800 to 1100 p/s

However when  I download from download.com my download speed is never faster then 350kb. Download com is a very popular download site and therefore the speed goes down. When I want to download a large file I google the program and find a different download site. For small files I normally stay put
