My internet is not working - What driver do i need

Question

i just re formatted my laptop after getting a trojan and i can get onto the internet to update it what to i need to install?? to get onto the internet??

i called someone and they said i needed a network driver disk or somthing like that to be installed

but i dont have that disk!

can i get an exe file for that disk off my home computers internet and put it on my laptop or am i doomed

help me??!!
