We replaced it but since then whenever the lights in my house flicker my internet gets disconnected. I have to turn my modem on and off the get it to work again. Could it be something wrong with the wiring in my house? Or the fuse not put in right?

  1. sounds like a brown out!!

is your whole street not getting this problem. if not i would call a sparky!!

the voltage levels in your home are not constant. you getting surge spikes.

your wifi is the least of your worries. and your ring main (sockets) is on a different circuit to your lights!

  2. if the lights flicker, then you've probably got a short somewhere...  either check the fuse again to see it's seated properly, and other fuses too.  May be worth getting someone in to give the place a once over.

Intermittent power can be a real problem for computers - it will drop your intenet connection and potentially damage  the components in your computer if you don't have a surge protection / uniterruptable power supply device.
