My internet service provider allows free download/upload upto 150 MB per calendar month. how much this 150 MB woks out In terms of a) kilo bytes and b) bytes?

150 MB is megabits or megabytes.  It depends on your ISP's definition.  It's not a lot either way.  One MB is 1,000 kilobytes or kilobits or 1,000,000 bytes or bits.  Mega is short for million.  I don't know what you use your internet for but one decent resolution picture can be 5 or more MB.
