  1. if you have the first one automatically qualify ubut hold down the top and homebutton until the apple sign comes up

  2. I would suggest taking your phone to an authorized "Apple" repair facility.  Of course if you have cell phone insurance I would definitely file a claim.

  3. Your iPhone had a little opening... what is that supposed to mean. If there is a hole in the side of the thing and you're wondering why it doesn't work... I don't know what to tell you other than go back to school.

  4. you could try restoring it. hold the top button on the phone and the home button down for 10 seconds (with it pluged in to the computer with itunes running) and then let go of the top button but keep holding onto the home button. then itunes should say it found your iphone in recovery mode. just click restore and then resync everything and see if that works.

p.s. if its jailbroken than doing this will un-jailbreak it.

  5. This is a long shot but it might work. You can re-arrange the icons on the home screen. So try putting icons that you never or seldom use at the bottom (stocks maybe?) and the useful ones at the top.

The way to do this is by pressing continuously any icon on the home screen. They will then all start to jiggle. Then you drag-n-drop any icon anywhere and finally hit the home button.

    Hope it helps!
