My ipod doesn't work, won't update, itunes doesn't recognize it

my ipod wont work for some reason...i plug it into the computer and it doesnt come up in itunes....

i have tried reformatting it and repairing the hard drive and all that stuff and even reinstalling itunes but i cant get itunes to recognize it....it does work tho, there are just no songs on it, ahhh!!

o yea, its a 20gb ipod photo

i think you need to update itunes.

or maybe the ipod is too old and you just need to update that.

Nothing's wrong with the PC, it's ipod that need to be reset by holding down both the menu & center button. This happens all the time, Apple's ipods are a buggy lot & that's why you have to rest & update them often.
