  1. warrenty only covers the failure of the device.. thats to say it stops working completely... it doesnt cover scratches as that is the purchasers own fault and not a manufacturing fault.

2nd- anything can get scratched if you miss handle it.

  2. Polish them off with Brasso

  3. I'm sot sure of the material the screen is made of, however, any ipod, phone or PDA with a glass screen and NOT touch sensitive can be rubbed with a fine rubbing compound.

The compound works by friction, abrading the edges of any scratch and overall appearance is usually almost as new.  Another thing to watch though is that the bezel surrounding your screen will almost certainly be coloured plastic or coated metal.  The compound will likely rub off the finish leaving you with a worn look.

  4. the warranty if only for the actual insides working properly and excludes any cosmetic or accidental damage caused by dropping.

you can try and polish it off with  brasso or screen polishing cream.

B U T as this is a touch you can also remove the touch senor ability by polishing it oo hard.

Thats why screen protectors were invented! they are essential on all touch devices to avoid this issue.

its better to put up with the scratch (which can be made less obvious with ordinary furniture polish then covering with a screen protector) than risk losing the touch capability of the touch.

  5. No tough luck

    Shouldnt have scratched it
