Question:

My ipod has lost it's mind! Help!

My ipod got uplugged from the computer without being properly ejected (I think is what happened) and didn't get a chance to 'disconnect' right. Now, it's as if there were never music on it in the first place. It says, 'no music, no pictures, etc'. I thought restarting my computer and then plugging it in would help, but it didn't. The ipod says it's 'syncing' when plugged in, but then again, nothing (even after safely ejecting it) so does anyone know why it's gone 'coo coo!' The ipod library will still show all my music, and the bar that indicates how much space is being used still shows that everything is on there, but when it's disconnected from the computer, again, it shows that there is nothing? Please help (PS the ipod is only about eight months old, and until a few weeks ago was rarely even used!) Thanks for ANY advice!!

  1. Do this:

    1.  Start up iPod, then once up, press and hold the menu and middle button.

    2. Then it will restart immediantly press and hold the middle and previous button.

    3. Press previous for manual test.

    4. Once finished the check, hold the middle and menu button.

    5. Hope that works, sucks if you have a shuffle (:

  2. sounds like it was unplugged mid sync, just resotre your ipod using itunes and copy your music back over it should work fine

  3. just reset it press menu and the center buttons at the same time until the apple appears.  Make sure your ipod is not connected to the computer when you do this
