My ipod is totally dead?!?

Question

So I guess i fell asleep with it on and the battery died 100%.

It's an 8GB nano 3rd generation and I have had it plugged into my computer for over an hour and it won't turn on in any way AT ALL. Itunes won't open either.

What can I do??

With the iPod connected to the computer, repeat holding down the centre+menu buttons until the Apple logo highlights. That should give the iPod enough juice to grab a connection to the computer to charge.

Before u throw it away,, borrow one of your friends Ipods,, same kind of course and see if its now your charger! They are one of the first things to go bad sometimes!
