My ipod nano malfunctioned?

i've had my pink nano 3rd gen for a while but i had it sitting next to plant for a few days and when i tried to set it on it wouldn't work and when i plugged it in it said this mass storage device has malfunctioned. maybe the plant water leaked on it? how long does it take to restore and if it doesn't work what do i do then?

Same thing happened to me. I had mine sitting beside the sink when i spilled water all over my pod.

Press the middle button, and press the menu buttom (top button) at the same time for about 10 seconds. Then it will reset your ipod.

If that doesn't work I guess you would have to wait. Try resetting often.

If you can't fix it within like 3 days, chances are you would have to mail it in to the company and get them to fix it.

Usually takes 3 - 4 weeks for them. If you bought yours in staples and have insurance you can trade it in for new one.
