My ipod won't shut off?

how do i turn my ipod off? it's like frozen

just hold down the center and menu button at the same time. then let go when you see the ipod symbol(apple). that should restart your ipod. & yes you will still have all of your songs.

press and hold menu and select (middle button), the ipod will turn off then back on after that it should turn off.

with the regular iPods press and hold down the center button and menu for like 10 seconds or more and it will reboot with the iPod touch hold down the home button and the lock button and it will reboot. Hope this helped

neither will mine, i have to restart the d**n thing every time! hold down the menu and pause/play buttons till the screen goes blank. i think mine does that because ive dropped it so many times...
