Question:

My ipod won't turn on anymore?

I've went to the apple website and tried their 5 steps to fix an ipod that won't turn on... But it didn't work... So I came here looking for help.

The ipod has not been dropped, nor has water damaged. It just stopped turning on. When I went to plug it into my computer, I got a message that said something about the ipod needing to be reformatted in order to work with windows (never happened before). Then I got another message about the ipod being corrupted and needing to be restored... I tried to restore with the newest version first, didn't work. Then I tried with the same version, didn't work. Now, my computer won't even recognize my ipod.

Can someone, anyone help? (out of warranty)

  1. Sounds like an issue with the battery.  Take it back to Apple store and have them put in a new one.  If that doesn't work - then the iPod is hosed.  Get a new one.

  2. what i can say to do, is try to restore everything to its original settings when you connect the ipod to itunes, and have it re download everything to the ipod, i don't know if that willl help, but it is worth a try..

if that wont help, i also suggestt that you go into the nearest apple store, and ask them what you can do, i say to go ask apple store in person, so they can help you fix the ipod problem.

  3. i don't know
