My ipod wont connect to my computer

its a 3g nano and when i plug it in it says it's connected till i open itunes then i ipod says its ejecting but itunes says its connected even thought it wont sync or do anything

just reset it press menu and the center buttons at the same time until the apple appears.  Make sure your ipod is not connected to the computer when you do this

ok this happened to me so what I did is I went to a friend who had Itunes and plugged it in to their computer and then took it home after it was synced to theirs and it asked me if I wanted to re-sync it. Say yes and it will put it on. This also worked for someone Else's so I know it wasn't a glitch.
