For some reason my ipod wont turn off. I tried using the sleep feature but that doesn't work, i've held down the menu button and that wont work. I even reset it and it still wont turn off. it just stays on and the battery is dying very fast. Has anyone else had this problem? What do i do?

  1. it must of short circuited. maybe from water or some type of moisture. i suggest taking it to a electronics store, they can fix it. probably best buy would be the best. hope this helped

  2. I had the same problem. I took a hammer, whacked it then it was OK. But now it's happening again.

  3. thats an ipod for ya. They're mass produced products. If your ipod is new or old your bound to run into problems. i highly recomend buying a Creative Zen mp3. it does everything but more then an ipod. Look it up at bestbuy.com or walmart.com   Good luck

  4. plug it to your computer.

try holding menu and the center button

try letting the battery die completely and then charge it

I used to have the same problem with my old ipod I think it's just with the old nano's that it does that because i have no problems with the new one.

If you have one of those stereo things and you use it when you're taking a shower (not in the shower obviously) but the humidity might be getting to it...that's what the guy at best buy told me anyway...
