My ipod wont turn on anymore?

Minor water damage

3 years old (I'm guessing it's out of warranty)

I sit it out to dry for a couple of hours but it still wont turn on. Am I hopeless now? Or will it work in a few days?

Water damage will really s***w it up. It will probably rust inside. You should try holding down the menu and middle buttons to try to reset, but it sounds like it might be fried. But like you said, it might work in a few days.
