My ipod wont turn on completely, but it will go into disk mode. What is the problem?

i have dropped it a couple of time but that was a while ago. it just stopped working

  1. have you dropped it? it may have been bashed quite hard and therefore the chip in it may have broken. take it to a repair centre and see what they can do- if they cant do anything, sorry you'll have to get another one or go without
