My is period is not the same as it would usually be whats wrong?

my period is very heavy but now that i had first off i came on late (2 days late) and now I'm not bleeding heavy as i usually would. and when i did come on it was brown and dark red. is that normal or should i be looking out for something. also me and my boyfriend had s*x like a week and some days ago. i don't know if that has something to do with it.please help

when did u start it cuz it may take up to a year or so for it become regular
