Question:

My itunes keeps telling me to insert blank disc when I already have?

i also tried windows media player and tried dragging and dropping i tried repeating what i did i tried putting a different blank one for itunes to read. then i went to the store to get a different brand of discs and it still won't work. help please and believe me, i inserted blank CD-Rs.

  1. Does explorer (the working part of your operating system) read them as blank CDs?  Does a dialog box pop up and ask you what you want to do with the blank one?

    Because if not, your driver may be corrupted or your DVD- or CD-burner has probably kicked it.  Fortunately, these are inexpensive and easy to install.  And if it's just the driver, uninstall it and reinstall one from the website of whoever manufactured your DVD/CD drive.

    If that isn't the issue, try troubleshooting iTunes.  First, update it.  If that doesn't solve the problem (and I doubt it will), check for drivers.  Finally, uninstall and reinstall iTunes.

    That should do it!
