  1. Leave it.

  2. Well if you can get to it to remove the hull numbers then it can't be properly sunk in metres of water, so if it was me then I would try to recover it.

If it's a new-ish model and/or you intend to buy another one the same, the old one may be useful for parts, body panels, seat etc.  Or if not, recover it and advertise it for sale as non-running for parts, you'll still get some money for it.  Better than leaving it in a lake.  I assume that the engine has been completely submerged for some time?

At the very least, try to recover it and dump it properly, it's a bit anti-social to just leave it in the lake, wouldn't you say?

  3. You need to remove it.

Leaving it there could contribute to pollution of our waterways. Even if enough oil is released to leave a film on the surface, you are required by law to report it to the Coast Guard.

Ignoring the environmental impact, if you do nothing about it, and it's somehow traced back to you, you could be in for a pretty hefty amount of fines.

  4. Yeh bro, just get some gap filler or chewing gum.  She'll be right.

  5. Try and get it out.  Leaving a slick of engine oil ad gasoline across the lake is dangerous and antisocial.  Sell it for parts or at least get rid of it properly.  You might need to utisise the services of a professional salvage company, because you're not going to be lifting a jetski full of water, engine bits and everything else without a fairly decent crane.
