  1. Medicare is a federal program for persons over 65.  If you have a job, you are probably too young to have a son over 65, so he is not eligible for Medicare.

You probably meant medicaid.  Medicaid is a program for adults with no income, or almost no income, and children whose parents have no income, or almost no income.  If your son is an adult with no job, he might qualify.  If he is a child, he probably does not qualify because you are his parent and have a job.

If you make a small enough amount of money, he pay qualify for either or both of

    a) Child Health Plus.  This is a state or county program and is free to participants (meaning that taxes pay for the entire cost of it).  The income limits are very low.  You apply at the county social services office (DSS, unofficially called the welfare office).

    b) Healthy NY.  This is a state program.  The income limits are somewhat higher.  It is not free, but is much less expensive than obtaining insurance from an insurance company without using a government program.  Look at their website.

If he does not qualify for either of these, you will have to obtain (at your own expense) health insurance for him from an insurance company.

  2. Why isn't the father of your son paying child support and health insurance?

  5. Medicare is for the disabled on SSDI, the over 65, and those with end stage renal failure.

I think you mean Medicaid - welfare health insurance.  You contact your local social services agency office, and ask to apply.
