Im 22 years old and I really need health insurance, but my job doesnt offer any benefits and I only make $6 an hour. I already work 6 days a week, but im trying to find a second job, so hopefully I will be making more money..can I buy health insurance if my job doesnt offer it?

Ive been working there for 6 months, but I have to be working full time for more than a year before I can apply for benefits, but they wont hire me full time. I really dont know what to do, I need to go to the doctor, but I already have a $500 doctor bill that Im trying to pay for. I feel so..hopeless..please help?

  1. Well, a local agent can get you quotes, but a comprehensive, low deductible plan is going to cost about $200 a month, and won't cover stuff that's already wrong with you.

  2. You say you are going to college. Check with your college to see if they offer it.

Many facilities, specifically teaching facilities and county run facilities offer financial aid to their patient's. Ask about it-you may even be able to get the doctor bill you currently owe in discounted - if you ask...

  3. You need to find a better job.
