Im 19 and currently studying Animal technology, it basically involves me in training rabbits, rats and mice and working with scientists and they use these pests for expirements, i basically have to raise them take care of them when there drugged and then put them down.

Its really good money for me its more then what most people make and im only 19 and when i finish my degree ill be getting a good 70k a year.

But i feel so emotionaly depressed when i go home, i tell myself we use these animals to try find cures, but at the same time, putting them down and using them as expirements it just really gets to me

any advice?

  1. Money is important , but doesn't worth your soul trauma that remains "there" deeply within you for all life.

My opinion is leave this work if you can't be " cold" when you are doing what you do. For sure you'll find another job, maybe less money or not ,but you will be  more quietly and this worth= priceless

Your peace of mind  and your own health  worth millions. And you can't to buy your health with any mountain of money.

Idealistically you think you contribute to good for world, but the reality is more cruelly than you think.

By the way , to basis of any cancer cause stands a old grave soul trauma., sometimes very old and forgotten. In my long career as a nurse I spoke with thousands of sick cancer people and all ,absolutely all, said me a painful  "secret" from bottom of their heart. Remember this and you can start to investigate  my claim and see for yourself. One case in point, firstly,  father rapes his own daughter at her 6 years old by giving her sweets, to her 14 years. Her mother knows  but  says nothing.{ God knows why}. At 31 years she was diagnosed with cancer. At  her 39 years was free of cancer due  conjunction of medical treat with  massively self-help when she recognized her profound trauma and eliminated it

, Remember, your health is above of all.

Your question is a burning question for many good people.

I appreciate your seriousness in asking such kind of question

    Thank you.

  2. I'm sorry I stopped reading your question without finishing it to say to you " Miss~ you have a very long way to go, before you can be depressed about a job, this early in your life". I know, I blow it with you but; "Really now"... "Now I will read the rest of your question.

This is a morals issue some what like the abortion issue faces us all. Your service on the job helps these animals live good and with love however long that life is. You can feel good about your self and the work you do because at some point down the road a cure maybe, be contributed   to your companies work and/or research. The results is their life for ours from your position. Think about all the people in the hospital each day hoping and praying research do not stop and a cure is at hand. The only way that will happen is some animals Must Be Experimented On. Yes it do hurt you and us all as a person but, no one has come up with a better plan that has as good a result. hang in there and good luck with 70k a year at a very young age.

  3. my bf has the job also pretty weird but yeah he get like that too i just tell him think about our son if a baby need medicine but it was not tested would he want to tested on our son or on an animal or on me?

  4. but why do u av 2 do dis job, wat do u find intrsting in king the animals, wel 2 u it pays better,so dnt conplain dat it get at u.

  5. Hi, Im not going to be judgemental to you because like you I can see both sides.

However if it was me in your shoes I could not do the job if it was making me depressed. Its not worth it. I mean, I could be a prostitute and make good money, but it wouldnt be worth feeling disgusted with myself and all the other negative emotional feelings.

I think money is no good if you dont enjoy the job and find it satisfying.  If you're studying animal technology you must obviously be bright,so perhaps you can consider other careers where you can earn good money but not feel guilty.  You can stick in this job until you've finished the degree if you dont want to waste the study you've already done.  If its making you have these doubts already though its probably not something you'll be able to stand long term.

    Good luck.

  6. By doing these experiments your helping the world find a cure. You may need the cure one day or somebody that you love will need it. Try and think that the animals aren't in pain, it's cruel to kill mice and such but there are so many of them in the world it's sort of like controlling the population of rodents.

Also you were right their pests, try to remember that.

  7. i would quit why would you even want a job like that, your killing animals for no reason.

  8. Personally, I believe these animals are doing a 'Great' function to the human race by the experimentation.

Had this not being done, we as people would not be able to receive the new medications and cures we have today.

Please look at this differently... perhaps as if it were your parent ill from some unknown disease......I for one and for many people are very grateful for this process, and I thank you for your help in that field.

    good luck to you
