My journey to Europe. (Vienna & Budapest) VS (Athens & Santorini)?

Question

Basically i already a list of destination for my trip like Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Bern, Lucerne, Lauterbrunnen, Zurich, Amsterdam and Prague.

But due to time constraint i have to choose between going to Vienna and Budapest or Athens and Santorini? (Duration is around 7 - 10 days).

Both place i also like very much but which one better?

All of your opinion are welcome.

If you will be in Budapest around 2nd august there is formula one Hungarian grand prix - highly recommended event.

But if I were you I would rather go to Krakow (near Prague) and Dubrovnik (close to Vienna) instead of Lauterb...something or Bern. Is just a capital. Nothing really hot about this place. Bern, Lucerne and not Geneva??  Hmmm...

BTW - both Krakow and Dubrovnik are 3 times cheaper then Switzerland and 3 times more beautiful.

I haven't been to Vienna or Budapest and I agree with you they are beautiful places. But in my opinion, and please don't say i say that cause i am greek, is that besides Athens which is beautiful city and has so many attractions to see such as Acropolis, Santorini is a unique place that you would'n want to miss. The scenery when you aproach the island by ferry is the best! It is one of the two places in the world where you can see the caldera. Choose greece! :P

Depends what you looking for. Vienna is just Beautiful but very expensive, more expensive then Germany. On the other hand Hungary is cheap and beautiful as well. Vienna and Budapest are not as hot as Greece so that might be another factor to consider.
