  1. Yes , however don`t be scared i`m not!

  2. Sounds like you need to stage an exorcism!

  3. unplug the kettle when not using+turn the central heating on...lol

  4. You might be anemic. You need to get your blood checked. Also, you need to have the wiring on your stove checked. And you might need to get something at the health food store for memory loss. After you've done all these..if it still happens... or if more unusual things happen...come back here and tell us You just need to get all "natural" reasons out of the way before you start thinking it might be poltergeists.

  5. The plastic push-button you press to switch on your kettle to boil may take some pressure to operate (because of the mechanism that is designed to give the user a positive 'feel' to the switch action) but the switch contacts, themselves, may require only a tiny movement to make them touch together.   The contacts in your kettle switch may just be too close together and able to touch without warning.

Alternatively, contacts can become welded together due to electrical arcing across the contact gap, or small spatters of metal can be raised on their surfaces.   These could cause sporadic and unpredictable shorting across from one contact to another.   A loose connecting wire is another distinct possibilty.   Any of these faults can easily cause your home to burn down or to electrocute you or a loved one.

Your kettle switch is faulty.   It's dangerous not to get an appliance checked if it starts to look or behave differently from when it was new.   Please take your kettle to an electrical repair shop to have it checked.

  6. Yeah, poltergeists are pretty much the only reasonable explanation other than leprechauns. Don't discount leprechauns, they're mischievous like that.

  7. no, it's a sign of loose wiring and an impending house fire

  8. its not ghosts its elves, they will have been trying to make a brew to warm up in your cold house, your place is so cold because your too tight to put the heating on,and elves dont like it,dont be scared though theyre more into making shoes than trying to harm people.

  9. No.

  10. Yep that was Polly, she's funny, they even made a song about her it was called "Polly put the kettle on" ;)

  11. Sounds like a faulty switch.

You had better get a new kettle before something nasty happens.

(Just had a thought.  Can you imagine what my boss would have said had I used a Ouija board to find where a fault was....)

  12. No, its not a poltergeist, its whats known as a hungry ghost. It seeks to feed, and pasta is one of its favorite foods.

I find the best way to drive them out is not to keep any pasta onhand for about 2 months. Then they will move to your neibors house.

Seriously though, I am sure you can think of better reasoning than poltergeist, be real.
