My kickers dont hit hard!!!

i have kicker comps 12inch. my buddy has sony xplods and they pound! i have a lighting audio 750 watt amp and he has a poshgate amp 1000 watts and his is loud like i cant hear anything. i thought kicker comps were going to do this. i want bass that will make me not here someone talk to me. help

your box is probably the reason. every speaker needs the right box, or it won't pound right. i would recommend a ported box since u want a lot of bass. but don't use any ported box. look at the instruction manual for the sub, and it will have the recommended size boxes to use. u can build it yourself, or go to a stereo shop, and they can build it for u.
