I am worried about sending them away without everything they need (clothes, meds, important docs, etc...). Any suggestions?

  1. sunscreen?  towels bathing suits good luck

  2. An extra key to your house in case the grandparents need to get something you forgot.

You're going to forget something.  Its just a fact of vacationing.  Luckily, most things can easily be bought at a store.  If you've got the meds and the important documents (insurance card, emergency phone numbers, list of allergies, etc) then you're fine.

  3. favorite toy or stuffy, noterized note saying gparents can get medical help if needed for the kids, doctors phone numbers, baby sunblock

  4. Written permission for your parents to make medical decisions. Insurance cards. Phone number of their pediatrician. Your mothers guilt for leaving them for a few days.

Have fun without the kids!! We all need a little break now and then!!

By the way.........As someone who used to live in Florida and as someone who has been to Disney too many times to count.......I would NEVER bring children as young as yours!! Do not feel guilty for that either! They will not remember it and they will be miserable in the heat! Wait until they are all over 5 when they will ALL have fun!

  5. Disney WITHOUT the kids - now THAT'S what I call a vacation!  And no, I'm not being sarcastic!  =)

In addition to clothes, toiletries, medication, insurance cards, etc., I would definitely give them a key to the house.  It may also be a good idea to leave $20 for the item you know you're going to forget.  Trust me, someone always forgets their special soap or toothpaste.  Finally, give each child a small backpack in which to carry their toys and books.  That way, they can pick what they want to bring without taking too much with them.  Good luck and have a great time!

  6. health insurance cards

  7. Disneyland? Your forgetting the kids!!

  8. Disney!!! Well, your forgetting to take them, LOL

Seriously... You need to have a note stating that your parents have the permission to bring them to the doctors in case of an emergency.  Phone numbers where you are staying and the place they are staying.

You pretty much have everything else covered.

    Have fun and be safe!

  9. why are you going to disney without your kids? I mean why not all go together....strange. Anyway don't forget a letter with your permission for them to seek medical help and make basic medical decisions. Also health insurance cards, sunscreen and directions on their routines and likes/dislikes, etc... favorite blankets or toys, list of food alergies or foods they like or don't like. Numbers where you can be reached.

  10. make yourself a checklist for each child and as you pack it in their bag cross it off, that way you know you are sending everything they need.  good luck!!

  11. A letter stating in case of an emergency, you parent can make all decision until you are notify or get there

You phone number of a cell that will on

  12. Okay you need all there clothes. PJ's, etc. Then you need some medicine (fever reducers, pain, cough, etc) just in case. You also need any prescription medicine (inhalers, epipen, etc). Send them with all there toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc).

Figure out where the kids will be sleeping. Pack either sleeping bags or air mattress, sheets (if they are sleeping on a spare bed or air mattress), comforter, pillow, and pillow case. Don't forget to pack any special comfort items (stuffed animal, blanket, special pillow, etc).

Then you need to give them a list of emergency numbers (doctor, dentist, hospital, emergency contact(s), your cell phones, hotel number, etc). You need to give them your kids health insurance cards. Then you need to give them medical release permission (in case they can't get in contact with you, they have the right to provide medical care).

Let each of them pick 2 toys and 2 books to go with them.  I would also put a little surprise in there suitcase. Buy them a new toy and maybe a bag of candy. Don't forget to include a note from mommy and daddy along with a family picture (that will make them feel better).

Good luck! And don't worry about leaving them! I'm 13 and my parents left me before to go on vacation. I survived lol.
