  1. you should say

a group of poeple who love eachother and always be their for one another

  2. tell the 8 year old to look it up in a dicitionairy n the 8 year old tell the 2 n 5 year old

  3. A family can be made of many things!  Even a single childless person with a dog could consider the dog his/her 'child' and that would be a family.  It's a group of people who are supposed to love one another, support one another, and take care of one another.  give examples of good families you know that are different (grandma and grandpa; your neighbor with her fiancé and three kids; the g*y male couple and Yorkie who are always at the park you guys go to; your friend and her husband)

With the 8 year old, you might be able to go into more detail about single-parent families or step-families but just mostly that they exist and what they are.

  4. A mother, a father, sons, daughters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, all people related are a family when they love, care and look after each other.

Explain your family to them.  Make a game of it, cut out pictures, build a family tree and explain the relationships between each member.  Have fun!

  5. I would say that a group of people that are related are "family" but that people who love and care for each other are a family.
