  1. Do a Olive green with a white trim.  It'll tie everything together

  2. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "rambling rose" (# 6305) would make the black & maple POP.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  3. a dark grey that blends well with black and stainless steel and add white dish cloths and white accessories  and don't forget a bowl of red cherries, green apples, or lemons, either real or ceramic.

  4. Are you intending to paint the wood? I wouldn't paint the wood, if I were you. With the dark floors and counters, the black, steel, and wood is a nice combination that doesn't look too cold. Wood=warm feeling/comfortable looking   If these are unfinished cabinets, find a medium stain, not paint, so you have the look of the wood. A regular paint would not look as nice.

  5. White
