I never put eggs down there. It is making me gag. What cleaner can I put down there? Or is it clogged with food?

  1. Clorox! LOTS AND LOTS OF CLOROX!

  2. CLOROX BLEACH

  3. Take some orange peels and put them through the garbage disposal it will take the smell away..

  4. no telling,

but you could put a 1/4 cup of bleach down the drain,

put the cover on and let it sit for about 20 min in that p-trap.

turn the hot water on to rinse it.

maybe you have to do this twice.

  5. Mommy, lets do this the practical way.

1.)Toss 6-12 ice cubes down the garbage disposal then turn it on.(Make sure rubber gasket is in place so ice doesnt fly up out of disposal). This will clean out the gunk thats rotting down there. Then chop up a lemon and toss it into the garbage disposal to freshen it up. IIf the disposal still stinks then go to the next step....

2.)Pour a half cup of bleach into the garbage disposal. Let the bleach sit for 10 minutes. This will kill anything thats down there-----bacteria, fungus, mold, etc. After 10 minutes, turn on water for 2 minutes to wash away the bleach and impurities.

3.)If the rotten egg smell still persists then you may have a more complex problem that only a plumber can handle such as a peatrap issue, clogged pipe, etc.

There is a list of plumbers in the yellow pages. Call them and explain the problem.

    Hope this helps....

  6. If its not clogged, just use baking soda. It absorbs the odor. Use it everyday and no more smells

  7. that happened to my mom's kitchen and she didn't get a plummer for a while...because of that, the smell just got worst and worst. I suggest calling a plummer. BUT, if your disposal thingy in the sink works/sounds normal, ask around...Sorry im not that big of a help :(

    Good Luck

p.s. our sink had food stuck and the disposal thing sounded wierd, and the plummer fixed it...and yes our sink also smelled like rotten eggs :P

  8. Pour some bleach down your drain,  that's what I'd suggest.

  9. If you have a garbage dispostal, cut a lenon in half and put it down it. If not try using plain lemon juice in the drain.

  10. DO NOT PUT BLEACH!!!!!!!!!  Bleach will tear up your metal and blades in the disposal.  General chemistry.

I suggest that you put a lot of ice down there and turn on your disposal.  Then cut a juicy lemon in 1/2 and stick it in your disposal and chop it up as well.  THEN put abou 1/2 cup of PINE SOL down there and let it sit.... or actually about 1/2 cup of Odoban.  Thats a disiffectant.  Let it sit about 10-15 mins.

    Good Luck girl!

  11. Something stinky in your drain. I usually pour baking soda down the drain and let it sit for 20 mins then pour a small bottle of white vinegar down the drain. Follow it with running the hot water for a minute.

  12. Get some Drano to make sure its all out.. whatever that smell is..  thats what i did, and it worked.

  13. This is the way I usually do when my sink has odor. I put a cup of vinegar or squeezed lemon juice into sink and turn on disposal and faucet for 30 seconds. It will remove odor of sink. Hope it will works for your sink.

  14. STAGNET WATER IN THE ELBOW OF YOUR PIPES JUST PUT A HALF CUP OF BLEACH DOWN YOUR DRAINS TWICE PAR WEEK AND THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK FOR YOU .

  15. sounds like your peatrap is offset your peatrap is a metal cover that keeps all of the gases and stagnent water smells down below where they belong if this gets shifted by whatever means this is what you smell i know it happened to me

  16. you could just have sulfur in your water

  17. i would NOT put bleach down your drain! get some amonia of lysol and put it down the drain.
