Question:

My kitten has a "popping" sound in her stomach, what could it be?

it sounds like when we have to go do number 2 lol, is that what it is? it's going on while she's asleep

  1. perhaps, or it could be a collapsed lung. Happened to my boyfriend and he had chest pain, just pay attention


  2. It's perfectly okay. :P It's the digestive system in her tummy going to work, digesting that food. If you listen to your tummy really close, you'll hear almost the same thing.

    If it's really loud, or just doesn't sound like it could be her digesting her food. Call your vet and ask them. :)

    My cats tummy does it too. When I first heard it, I was like "oh no, go to the litter box!" haha. She didn't seem too phased by the sounds, and acted like she wasn't in pain.. So I asked my vet, and she said that's what it was.

  3. I would take her to the vet just to be safe. You can never be to sure with kittens. I've raised many of them, over 20 and I never heard something like that. I would get it checked.
