My kitten has a swollen belly?

My kitten is mentally disabled. He can't meow, he has trouble playing, and hes just a bit "slow". But I've worked with him and now he can chase a pencil and sometimes he can make a sound instead of just his silent meowing.

how ever, from the first day I got him he had a very big belly. his paws and legs are tiny but his belly looks huge. We've gave him a worm treatment, and we can't exactly take him to the vet right now (money reasons)

What should I do? What's wrong with my baby?

A swollen belly is a sign of worms.  They all act like that when they are sick.

Your kitten is sick.  Worms steal all nutrition from her food.   A shot the vet can give her will kill the worms without hurting her intestines and it always works.

When you are sick you can't think straight.  Call your local humane society for a low cost appointment.  Worms in a kitten can kill her on a long term basis.  Many over-the counter products wast your money and don't work that well.

Your kitten also needs her immunization shots.  Feline leukemia is common and it kills kittens very fast after they get it.  

Start calling around to see where the low-cost clinics are in your area.  Even regular vets have programs for low income families sometimes.

Call the humane society and see if they know of any low cost options.  He has to be taken to a vet.  If his belly's that big there's something seriously wrong.  At least try to talk to a vet, maybe you could work out a payment plan. To let him suffer and just guess at treatments is inhumane and cruel.  Please find a better home for him if you can't afford to take him to the vet.  We have Friends of Cats here in California.  Maybe you have something like that where you are..

Most likely, your cat has worms. Worms are fairly common, but some can be FATAL in cats.

Take your pet to the vet immediately! Money problems or not, your cat can DIE from worms.

You should have thought about money before you got a kitten. Kittens may be small, but they need to be taken care of and taking care of kittens means using money to meet it's needs. How irresponsible of you.

My cat Louie has always had the same meowing mental thing. She's fine now- she has this weird silent meow thing.

He may be bloated beacuse of a slight slight allergic reaction to his catfood. Don't give him too much and make sure he has water, dry and wet food. The dry food can be avaliable at all times but only a tiny bit of wetfood :D Good luck!

Your kitten is either pregnant/has dijestion problems/or has some kind of swollen organs. I suggest you find a cheap vet as soon as possible! it could harm your kitten if you dont go soon. hope i helped
