My kitten has diarrhea and is perfectly healthy...What now?

My 11 week Siamese kitten has had loose stool since we brought her home. It tends to be a bit harder in the litter box but sometimes a little drop with ooze out or end up on our floor. We have been to the vet three times. She has been treated with Albon just in case of parasites, she has been dewormed twice, changed food, and had two stool samples that have come back negative for parasites. She is happy, playful, eats, drinks, etc. You would never believe she has stomach issues! The only thing the vet is recommending now is diet change...again. Someone please help!

  1. 1) the kitten got yanked from it's mom too early

    2) all that change can give a kitten diarrhea especially changing food quickly

make sure you don't let her get dehydrated

  2. If you're giving the cat milk I'd suggest stopping that, as that would give my cat runny poops when she was a kitten.

  3. Try feeding her dry cat food. The ones in a can could be the problem.

  4. Has she been tested for girardia?  That's uncommon in indoor cats, but not unheard of.  The next question would be what are you feeding her?  Many Siamese are notoriously intolerant of foods with corn in them, and it can cause stomach issues.  I'd suggest switching to a food free of corn.  I've had two cats with IBD, who could only eat Innova's EVO dry, and California Natural dry.  Both of these are suitable for cats or kittens (it's what I feed my own foster kittens).  It's worth a try for her.

  5. HAS SHE BEEN CHECKED FOR  ''GIRARDIA""  THIS IS A PARRISITE WHICH IS ENTIRELY DIFFERATE THAN OTHERS..THIS REQUIRES A ANTIBOTIC IN ORDER TO GET RIDE OF IT  TAKE A STOOL SAMPLE TO YOUR VET  AND HAVE IT CHECKED...I HADE 2 CATS THAT I TOOK IN AND HOMED AND THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AS YOURS AND IT WAS ..GIRARDIA.....TO MUCH  MILK WILL SOMETIMES CAUSE LOOSE STOOL  AND WET FOOD WITH LOTS OF GRAVY WILL ALSO ...TRY  SOME GOOD DRY FOOD  FOR A FEW DAYS AND SEE WHAT  HAPPENS...BUT IN THE MEANTIME HAVE THE STOOL CHECK FOR THE GIRARDIA  THEY CAN CHECK IT WHILE YOU WAIT AND IT IS NOT NESSISARY TO BRING YOUR KITTEN WITH YOU... PUT IT IN A SMALL BOTTLE OR ZIPE LOCK BAG  LESS THA N 24HOUR SAMPLE NEED IT FRESH...GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT IS THE CAUSE....... GIRIARDIA DOES CAUSE LOOSE STOOLS....GET VET TO CHECK...........

  6. It's not normal, you need to have it checked out by a vet.   It could be worms or diet.

  7. Well, my aunt has a Persian kitten with diarrhea and she feeds her cat "Rice milk". Apparently it really works.

  8. If you feed her kitten chow, make sure it has no milk products in it.  Sounds like she is having an allergic reaction to something in her food. (like lactose.)  Try a different food, or make her some from homemade.  You can search the internet for homemade cat food recipes.  Sometimes
