My kitten has flea's and they keep on coming back on her. And worst of all, they are now getting around the house. (The flea's, I mean) How do I get rid of them for good? Counting the flea eggs. Also, if this helps, I did get him from a shelter. Please help! Best answer 10 POINTS!

  1. frontline flea and tick treatment always works, my kitten had loads of fleas and nothing worked till i used frontline , you get 3 shots and thats for 3 months and its around £13

hope it works for you xx

  2. Get a flea comb, brush through the hair, then dip in a bottle of rubbing alcohol. That will instantly kill the fleas/eggs caught in the comb, and continue to brush, as the alcohol will drive the flea's crazy, as you continue to comb & dip.

    Cheap, very, effective~!

  3. If the kitten is at least 8 weeks old, get him on Advantage or Frontline Plus and that will take care of the fleas within 24 hours and will work for 30 days.  Since you got him from a shelter, I'm assuming he's at least 8 weeks.

Then vacuum your house and all the upholstery really well and throw away the bag or empty the canister outside.  You may need to do this for a few days.  Also wash your bedding and the cats in hot water.  But once the cat is treated, the fleas will dissipate fast.

Ask your vet for a Capstar pill (around $11). This pill kills all adult fleas on the body within 30 minutes.

  5. If the kitten is at least 1 pound and 5 or 6 weeks old, she is old enough for Advantage. It is made for cats 1-9 pounds, and then another kind is for 9 pounds and up.

I agree with previous posters and suggest that the next time you take your kitty to the vet, set off a flea bomb in your house. Also, wash all your linens and sprinkle the flea powder for carpets on all the carpets and rugs. Leave overnight if you can, and vacuum up the next day.

The combination of Advantage and flea powder was enough to get rid of all the fleas on my kitten and in my house, but it depends on how many rooms your cat has been in and how long the fleas have been there.

  6. my best results have come from the following

    and carefully comb hair.

6)clean up all debree around house...like leaves or places where fleas might hang out.
