Is it a wild instinct or is it a month because shes done it since yesterday plus she did it yesterday because she mistaked me for playing but this time she didnt she had a wild look in her eyes. (Heres a picture of her i took it 2 days ago: http://i38.tinypic.com/2lnu53.jpg )

  1. haha that's really normal my cat bites me for fun but she doesn't hurt me she just wants to play

  2. The kitten is just doing what animals do.  You really shouldn't be putting your face near him, he could scratch your face or your eyes (and a scratched cornea is very painful).  You need to stop this behavior now however by telling the kitten a firm NO! and put him down.  Do not continue to play or pet him, otherwise you are reinforcing the bad behavior.

  3. Alright, first of all shes adorable! hah.

My friends kitten acts not wild, its called playful.

They're kittens! Calm down, and play with your kitten

while its young so it will be playful still when its older.

Kittens will be super playful and all they do is play

    play play!

  4. Just think how you would feel if you were the size of your kitten and you had someone your size coming down to kiss you on the head!  But honestly I would be considering getting a book about cats and kitten training and reading it through especially if this is your first kitten.  If you cant afford to buy one then try your local library.  I know heaps of people would say find a website but with a book you dont have to be sitting in front of your computer, you can be playing with your cat instead!

  5. That's what cats do.  They are too playful at times. If the cats is hurting you, then you need to let it know what "no" means, in a nice way.

  6. She isn't wild, she is playful. They are not trying to hurt you. They don't know the rules at this age.

  7. my kitty does that. she's 5 months old, but she's getting better about it. when you play with your kitten, if she scratches or bites, make a high pitched yelp sound, get up and walk away. ignore her completely and she will soon understand that when she bites or scratches, it ends her play time. if she continues to bite and scratch, put her in a room by herself or a cage for a few minutes (not too long) and she'll get the picture.

    hope i helped!

p.s. your kitten is really cute!!

  8. LOL just a kitty with lots of energy and a wild streak. Enjoy it, it's cute!

  9. Ooooooh! your kitten is so cute! i think she is full of energy and needs to release it in a safe way. (and she is a kitten so it should die down in few years or so.) maybe you should play with the string and feather even when your sitting on the couch just bounce it up and down until you stop watching. you don't even have to watch. or you could attach the string and feather to the wall and everything. and wait to kiss her when she is tired. and if she responds in a nice way to your kiss then give her a cat treat or something she likes. I don't know if this works with cats but it works with dogs and it might be worth a shot. when she slaps you or scratches you, scream. not a loud scream like someone is killing you, but a short yip that shows the cat that she hurt you. that works with dogs because when they were born and their brother or sister hurt them that would mean ouch that hurts. so i don't know if it would work for cats but maybe it will. or this maybe out of the question, but maybe you should get a second cat so thy could play with each other and release some energy.
