I just got a new kitten the yesterday (I found her abandoned on the side of the road during a tropical storm) and I found out last night she had worms when she pooped in my other cats litter box. Due to this I completely cleaned out the entire other litter box (took out allll of the litter and threw it away) then refilled her litter box and made the kitten a new one. I haven't allowed them to share anything and I made the kitten a new litter box which she pooped in again this morning, I'm wondering if I have to completely clean it out again or if I can just scoop out the p**p and the worms? Thank-youu

  1. you should take her to the vet and get her de-worming medication. They can block up their intestines and cause a lot of trauma...

well since you are taking her to the vet, I would keep on top of that and just scoop the p**p/worms...

also for now seclude her to protect your other cats :)

  2. You need to worm her as soon as you can, and worm the rest of your cats as well.

  3. i would not worry about the litter. de worming is easy. if they vet feels your other cat should be dewormed too, or if he has not been dewormed in awhile, just deworm him too.

i have two inside/outside cats that have worms almost every time they go to the vet.

  4. i would just pour alittle bit of litter in the box, and just clean it completely each time she uses it. this way you dont take a chance with infecting the other cat. and only fill it enough so your not wasting all your litter.
