We bought a kitten a few weeks ago and he never seemed shy or reclusive, he was brought up around small children (which was good news because we have two kids) He seemed to settle in very well, he's quite a playful thing and like to nibble your hand when you go to stroke him, which doesnt bother me at all. However, He has taken to messing behind the tv which is not good because he seems to be sitting on the 4 way electric extension lead when he does it ( not only does it stink but he might fry himself!!!) He uses his litter tray during the day and whenever we are around, but seems to 'do his thing' behind the telly when we are all in bed at night. I'm basically asking for any ideas on what we can do to put him off going there again. We do clean the area when he's been, i've heard vinegar and tin foil are good and we are trying that tonight. The litter tray is not near his food, it's in a corner away from everyone. We do have an open plan home but there's not much we can do about that. Any other suggestions would be great as my wife (who wanted the thing in the first place) is starting to lose her patience with him.
