My kitten is really scared of people?

I recently got a new kitten and she's 6 weeks old. She is scared of everyone though. Every time we go to stroke her or walk in a room she runs away and hides, and hisses if you put your hand anywhere near her.

Is there anyway to stop her acting like this?

  1. When my dog was a puppy he was pure evil (always biting etc.) then he just stopped over time.

  2. She has to adjust to being around people.  Just let her explore the house and roam freely.  She will eventually calm down and come to people.

  3. Put her in a small room with no one else but you in the room.  Start out at the opposite end of the room as her and do nothing.  Just sit there and mind your own business like reading a book or something like that.  Let her get used to having you around but not forcing her.  Eventually she will get curious about you and come to you.  Try it.

  4. she is still small so give her some time to come out. She probably hasn't discovered the house if you give her some time she'll come out.

  5. Let her adjust to you, your family, and her new surroundings

    Give her treats

    Talk nicely to her

Put her in one room or area where she can learn to be comfortable

Go in to feed her and stay near her bowl just reading or sitting there

Dont reach out to grab her

Eventually she should start coming out of her shell

    Thanks for saving a kitty!!
