I adopted 3 kittens last week about 5 weeks old. they seemed to be doing fine. all were eating and pooping no problems. all of them were playing around and keepin me up all night. last night i had the window fan on and it got to be about 50 outside and really cold this morning. i shut it off and noticed my one kitten was snuggled up in the blanket. he wont move or anything right now. he seems limp. i have him on a towel over a heating pad set on low with a blanket overtop of him. he just seems so limp. what can i do???? i just called off of work because of this and i am very scared he wont make it. don't have the money to go to vet right now. need answers asap

  1. Many Vets will give you suggestions if you call them.  Others may even let you bring him in and let you set up a payment plan.  It seems like there has to be a way to get him to a Vet....

I found this site which gives some good information: Check it out

  2. Does he open his eyes when you make contact? What about when you pick him up? Some kittens sleep so deeply they seem ill. You said you don't have the money for a vet right now but there are places that will help you in an emergency. Also, 5 weeks old is too young to be away from their mother already. 6 weeks is bare minimum and 8 weeks is preferable. If he's not responding to your touch or voice then you need to seek medical attention even if you have to go through the humane society to get it.

  3. No one here is qualified to answer that, especially with out seeing it..  Find a vet, anyone, there has to be one willing to take payment plans..  Mine does..  I have to get one thing off my chest, you should not be adopting 3 kittens (nevermind 3 infant too young to be away from mom kittens) if you don't have money aside for vet care...  That's cruel!
