My kitten smells like ****,,,,why?

Ok I don't know how many times I have to give him a shower, but I just did two days ago.

1 - should I wash him more often?

2 - Is there any special perfumes for cats?

3 - Do you think the smell is coming from hidden poo poo that I can't

see? (it's persian)

He may be getting poo stuck in his fur around his butt or he could have impacted anal glands.  You may have to take him to the vet for the anal gland thing.  But, if you find its just poo stuck in his fur, you may want to do some trimming around his butt so that its not apt to get stuck in his fur.

You can buy cat shampoos but be careful because the cats can have allergic reactions to them.

If it has a litter box put scented litter in the tray, but again make sure your cat doesn't have an allergic reaction and it not put off by the smell.

And cat perfumes? I hope not! :o

Persians need a lot of grooming and if it's a kitten it's most likely not used to cleaning up after itself let alone it's diet. It could be that your kitten has diarrhea, in which case it would benefit from 2 meals a day of 1/2 canned food, 1/2 kitty biscuits. If this doesn't work then take him to the vet.

Take your cat to a groomer, the anal glands may need expressed. You may be missing f***s in the long fur as well.  Also, cats don't do showers, it's too stressful, BATHS - not showers, you can actually cause stress-induced health issues by giving them too many baths as well.  Spend the money and let a professional do it.  And yes, there are animal-safe (sold in petstores) deodorants, but you are just covering up the scent, not addressing it.  It's like only using breath mints to cover up bad breath and not brushing.

I have shampooed the backsides of many kittens.  When they are little they do not know how to clean their fur, and frequently get f***s on their fur.

Sometimes I have had to shampoo twice in one day on a kitty.  I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo,  it is gentle.  Just be sure to get them dry.

I wouldn't use perfumes, they could hurt his skin.  Besides, perfume over f***s is NOT what you want, you want a clean kitty.

next time you give him a bath put on some gloves get some shampoo and get behind there wash the fur and then put on some conditioner, once its on brush the bum fur, i use aloveen shampoo and conditioner because it smells like vanilla and helps dandruff, so then youll have a girly boy!!

You should not give cats baths! It ruins their skin and fur. Do not use perfumes. Your best bet would be to take the cat to a vet and have him evaluated.
