My kitty Rudy threw up black stuff. Has anyone else ever heard of this? What was it? ?

Black stuff could be blood.  Is his stool black too?   You should take him to the vet to see.

Gee- what is black in your house that he could have eaten?

Also, it could be blood clotting in his stomach from something like a bleeding ulcer or a hole.

Maybe you should think about calling your vet - that's what most sane people would do if their cat threw up something black and they didn't know what it was.  Don't you think?

It is most likely old blood,which means bleeding in the digestive tract.You need to get Rudy to a vet right away.
