My kitty has a hair in her eye!?

I noticed my cat wouldnt open her left eye all the way. So I looked at her eye and I noticed there was a long hair in it. Well, I got some Q-tips ( I didnt know what else to use) and I got it out. My cat was fine, she didnt make any sounds of pain or anything. But theres still another long hair in her eye. And everytime I go to get it out, she meows and I put her down.

How can I get this other hair out of my kittys eye?? =[

  1. take your cat to the vet like normal people do.

  2. you need to kinda cut off the hair near its eyes, my cat has tht all the time so we cut the hair around her eyes and then she was fine

  3. If it's not bothering her that much, then it'll probably come out on it's own. Give it time and if it's still there afterwards, try the Q-tips again!

  4. try and flush it out like we would do if we got something in our eyes.

good luck, i hope she's not in pain

  5. umm put water!

  6. First of all, you shouldn't be sticking anything in the cat's eye - you can cause a lot worse damage to the cornea or iris.  You may have not got the object out the first time.  I would take her to the vet and let the vet or assistant take a look at it.  It might not just be a hair.

  7. not funny,

    just try pulling it out

  8. don't poke her eyes. it will come out eventually.!!!

  9. get a tissuse open the eye put the tissues where the hair is it should come out and u could go to the vet..

  10. just get someone else to hold her down while you get it out or blow it in real hard, maybe itll come out on its own ?

  11. you need to force it...wear gloves. also, trim the hair around your kittys eyes from now on so that it doesnt get more hair in its eyes.

  12. its fine to have hair in a kittys eye. when we get a hair in our eye, we dont stick que-tips at it to get it out. we do it naturally, because it naturally got itself there, so its naturally gonna get itself out. ur cat was obviously meowing at you when u tried to get the 2nd hair out because it hurt her. dont try to help her though, let her do it naturally

  13. Anyone who kills animals is a pyschopath and should be in the mental institution where they belong :)

But anyways, just do what you did with the other hair, or let the cat blink it out

  14. I would definitely take her to the vet just to make sure nothing injures her eye.  They probably have something to flush out the eye.

  15. Flush her eye with water... she won't like it, but it won't hurt her and it won't leave scratches or fragments of q-tip in her eye which could aggravate the problem.  If this doesn't work I would take her to the vet and have them do it...

  16. You did good the first time. it's okay if she cries if you want her to be hurt by the hair then leave it. but if not, i'd do what did the first time

  17. Don't pull it out yourself, or you might hurt her. Take her to the vet and have the vet take it out. She or he is the expert.

  18. i believe you shouold take her to the vet, if you happen to hurt her with the q tip, she may go blind... i belive leave it until you have time to take her to the vet

  19. why dont you go to the vet, they might know what to do. i wouldnt take chances especially with the eyes.

  20. wow.i feel so sorry for your cat.i love cats and care abt them.but i dont really know what to do.maybe your cat is meowing bacause she wants you to do it quickly as possible so that she wont keep on hurting.hopw this helps! (=
