  1. why don't u try squishing the wet food and make it like water? it might be more easy on ur kitten and ur kitten is not eating because it's too big for him or hard for him to figure out how to eat.

  2. If he's old enough to be eating dry food, you can mix up the wet food with the dry food for a 50/50 ratio. My cat loves it. (When I give him only wet food, he just licks it too.)

  3. I believe he just might have fussy taste buds, who knows what else is going on. How are his teething? Perhaps teething problem is painful or he should be eating dry food to strength his teething. For further info, talk to a vet and you'll get what you really need, just to be on the "Safe Side"...

    I hope this helps

  4. I had the most beautiful cat that did the same thing. But he would go back a few hours later and eat the rest. But he would always just lap up the gravy as soon as I put it down.

  5. Try hand feeding him small bites to get him started.

Good for you for feeding canned!

  6. If I give my cats any sort of diced, shredded, or chopped wet food, they will only l**k the juice/gravy off it and leave the rest.  I have since switched to only ground wet food and this has solved the problem..they now eat the food itself.
