I am 18 and for the past few weeks my knee has been hurting. It only hurts a little when i put weight on it but after i run or do any sort of excercise, it really hurts. It clicks when i walk up the stairs and when i move it back and forth, I can feel a part moving on the side that does not move in my other knee. What cold this be?

  1. it could be that you have joint problems it happens to me tooo

  2. There are several possibilities for what could be causing this such as strain of the muscles and tendons in your knee (an example only).

Because of how long it has been going on for I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.

  3. Im 16 and have had the same problem for about a year now and almost every explanation from a doctor or anyone else is that my knee is just still growing but I really dont think thats what it is.  I have the same symptoms as you, it started from swimming/running and doing cuts while playing football.  The only other thing that my friend whos taking a sports medicine class is that theres something wrong with my meniscus, like its partially torn or is strained.  Im really not sure how much a doctor will be able to tell you unless you have some kind of MRI done, which im really considering because its just gotten worse for me since it started over a year ago, so id say go to a doctor and see if you can have some kind of scan done on your knee to see if they can spot the problem
