My kodak cx 330 wont stay on no matter what?

i used regular alkaline and then rechargeable batteries but it wont stay on help?

  1. I don't recommend alkaline batteries, they don't hold up in digital camera applications in my experience.

    What kind of rechargeable batteries are you using?  Nickel cadmium ("NiCad") rechargeable batteries don't work well in most digital cameras, either.  Been there, done that.  They can't deliver the power demanded by the camera.  Nickel metal hydride (NiMh)  rechargeable batteries are a good bet for digital cameras.  However, NiMH batteries have one major problem:  they lose their charge, even if un-used, over a period of several weeks.  

    If you don't use your camera frequently, and don't want to hassle with recharging dead batteries after a period of storage, there's another choice:  non-rechargeable lithium batteries.  They last a long time in storage inside a camera, and take a _LOT of pictures per set.  However, they cost quite bit more than regular non-rechargeable batteries.  Below are some kodak links for batteries (including lithium) for the models of camera I think you have.
