My land line wont work now home hub is installed what can the problem be?

cogenerate - check out www.bt.com the home hub is the brand name of BTs wireless solution, its not outdated as the latest version is only a few months old.

as for the problem, check your filters and if their all new would you mind posting how its all wired up, eg:

socket, filter hub and phone

socket, extension, filter hub and phone

or and this is the one where the phone wont work (assuming you mean the standard phone and not the hub phone)

also if you mean the home hub phone wont work try picking up the phone and then holding 5 you should get standard dial tone if you dont have the broadband talk, but remember you still need to register the handset to the base first as per the instructions in the book.

also re the issues with the batteries in the home hub phone, firstly the problem with the battery guide on the screen is a known problem and is covered in BTs FAQs on the website and it basically says you should ignore it, even when fully charged for some unknown reason it shows them as empty but other then that its a good phone. as for battery life and them not lasting long, take them out and replace the batteries it came with with some nice energizer or duracell rechargables, anything thats better then the ones it comes with and you should have no problems, but like any cordless phone the more its used to talk the quicker you run down the batteries.

Home Hub is outdated technology.  Take it back and go wireless.  It's easier/cheaper than you think.

BT home hub? the phone needs charging like a mobile if it is, its an awful service it has to be pluged in constantly to work and the phone runs out all the time even when its pluged in.
